# Cardano Joins Forces with Brazil’s Government-Run Tech Behemoth, SERPRO
The Cardano Foundation has established a calculated alliance with SERPRO, Brazil’s leading government technology supplier and a state-controlled information technology enterprise.
SERPRO (Serviço Federal de Processamento de Dados) is a well-known software firm, while the Switzerland-based Cardano Foundation is a not-for-profit organization committed to backing the advancement of the Cardano (ADA) blockchain network.
This noteworthy teamwork was revealed on March 6th.
## Importance of This
SERPRO is an essential technology associate for the Brazilian government, delivering digital resolutions to more than 90% of the country’s federal government divisions.
The alliance seeks to hasten the acceptance of blockchain technology in Latin America, centering on innovation, blockchain learning, and the combination of digital infrastructure within the public division.
By uniting Cardano’s blockchain technology with SERPRO’s proficiency in public administration, the collaboration will make easier the application of blockchain technology within the government.
## Cardano Academy Project to Aid Up to 2,000 Programmers
As a component of the partnership, SERPRO will present the Cardano Academy project to its 8,000 workers, including over 2,000 programmers.
Alexandre Gonçalves de Amorim, SERPRO’s President, expressed: “This partnership is a considerable stride toward incorporating blockchain technology into the core of innovation within the public division.”
He included:
“By merging SERPRO’s vast public sector knowledge with Cardano’s blockchain infrastructure, we are placing Brazil at the leading edge of digital government conversion.”
The ADA token of Cardano has lately surfaced as a trending digital currency, particularly after the disclosure of its addition to the U.S. Crypto Reserve for strategic purposes.
Before the collaboration with SERPRO, Cardano partnered with Petrobras, the Brazilian state-run oil giant, in December of the year 2023. This calculated alliance is centered around incorporating and embracing blockchain technology in Brazil using the Cardano Academy program. The integration seeks to boost clarity, refine service performance, and update the public sector of Brazil by means of blockchain technology. Frederik Gregaard, the Chief Executive Officer of the Cardano Foundation, pointed out that working alongside governments is a notable stride ahead.
