A trendy DeFi system for transferring liquidity, Stargate, has recently partnered with Circle’s CCTP!
Simply put, Stargate (STG) revealed on March 19 that they are now collaborating with Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol. This indicates that Stargate Finance users can now transfer genuine, authorized USDC (USDC) across multiple blockchains. Circle has recently improved CCTP, allowing Stargate users to transfer USDC across networks like Ethereum, Solana, Aptos, and even Layer 2 solutions like Base, Optimism, and Arbitrum.
Essentially, it is a 1:1 transfer, which improves efficiency. Stargate’s CCTP will also enable DeFi protocols to transfer USDC between Avalanche and Polygon.
Stargate announced on X that by incorporating Circle’s CCTP, they are reaching a larger audience and simplifying the seamless transfer of value.
Circle launched an enhanced version of the protocol shortly before Stargate integrated CCTP. Circle claims that CCTP v2 is faster and superior, reducing transaction times on Ethereum and Layer 2s from minutes to seconds.
These transactions previously took 13-19 minutes, but CCTP v2’s “faster transfer” feature accelerates things. Circle’s Hooks feature also improves efficiency by automating swaps and financial management.

Jeremy Allaire, the co-creator and Chief Executive Officer of Circle, emphasized that this permits immediate cross-chain relocations of USDC with swift conclusion.
