# Zuvu AI and Vana are Teaming Up to Improve Decentralized AI Development on Bittensor
On February 26, Zuvu AI and Vana revealed a partnership aimed at bolstering decentralized artificial intelligence development within the Bittensor network. The two entities seek to develop a more accessible and economically sound AI ecosystem.
Zuvu AI (previously SocialTensor) offers expertise in scaling four Bittensor (TAO) subnets, while Vana, which was recently advised by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, contributes its cutting-edge user-owned data network.
This partnership seeks to evaluate a novel model for open, collaborative, and financially sustainable AI development by integrating essential layers of the decentralized AI stack.
## Creating Tangible Value
Art Abal, Managing Director of the Vana Foundation, noted that the collaboration integrates Vana’s data layer, Bittensor’s subnet network, and Zuvu’s economic layer to enhance Vana’s DataDAO ecosystem and tackle critical challenges in AI development.
Zuvu drives the AI economic layer, enabling the investment, staking, trading, and monetization of models, agents, and data, thereby generating new opportunities in a rapidly expanding market. According to the press release, this collaboration occurs at a time when the AI market is anticipated to reach trillions of dollars by 2032.
## DeFi’s Increasing Revolutionary Impact
The collaboration and integration with Bittensor are strategic, capitalizing on its incentive-driven network to scale AI development. By merging user-owned data with permissionless computation and economic incentives, this partnership mirrors the disruption of traditional finance by decentralized finance.
Abal and Zuvu AI COO Daniel Raissar stated that the collaboration is anticipated to enhance Bittensor’s subnet diversity, support the growth of Vana’s DataDAO, and position Zuvu as a leader in AI finance, potentially shaping industry practices. This partnership corresponds to the direction of open AI, reflecting the growth of Bittensor to 45 operational subnets and solving the necessity for substitutes for consolidated AI titans. It’s about promoting a more distributed and approachable AI environment, shifting from the authority of some major participants.
