# Zuvu AI and Vana Unite to Enhance Decentralized AI on Bittensor
Zuvu AI and Vana revealed a partnership on February 26, with the objective of enhancing decentralized artificial intelligence within Bittensor. The purpose? To form a more accessible and economically viable AI ecosystem.
Zuvu AI (previously recognized as SocialTensor) contributes experience in scaling four Bittensor (TAO) subnets, while Vana, recently guided by Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, contributes its pioneering user-possessed data network.
This alliance intends to examine a new model for accessible, collaborative, and financially viable AI development by incorporating crucial layers of the decentralized AI stack.
## Forming Actual Worth
Art Abal, Managing Director of the Vana Foundation, remarked that this alliance incorporates Vana’s data layer, Bittensor’s network of subnets, and Zuvu’s economic layer to enhance Vana’s DataDAO ecosystem and tackle key challenges in AI development.
Zuvu powers the AI economic layer, enabling investment, staking, trading, and monetization of models, agents, and data, forming new opportunities in a rapidly expanding market. The press release indicates that this alliance arrives at a time when the AI market is projected to reach trillions of dollars by 2032.
## DeFi’s Growing Disturbance
This alliance and integration with Bittensor is strategic, leveraging its incentive-driven network to scale AI development. By combining user-possessed data with permissionless computation and economic incentives, this partnership mirrors the disturbance of traditional finance by decentralized finance (DeFi).
Abal and Zuvu AI COO Daniel Raissar expressed that this alliance is anticipated to enhance Bittensor’s subnet diversity, support the expansion of Vana’s DataDAO, and position Zuvu as a leader in AI financialization, potentially influencing industry practices.
This cooperation corresponds to the increasing open-source AI trend, reflecting the growth of endeavors such as Bittensor, which currently features 45 operational subnets. It embodies an immediate reaction to the need for substitutes to the centralized authority of leading AI firms. Fundamentally, individuals desire more accessible and dispersed AI, and this alliance signifies an advancement in that route.
