On February 26, Zuvu AI and Vana revealed that they are uniting to improve decentralized AI on Bittensor. Their aim is to develop an AI environment that is more transparent and economically sound.
Zuvu AI, formerly known as SocialTensor, has experience expanding four Bittensor (TAO) subnets. Vana, which recently received guidance from Binance’s founder CZ, contributes its user-controlled data network.
Together, they intend to integrate essential components of the decentralized AI stack to explore a novel method of developing AI that is transparent, collaborative, and economically viable.

Art Abal, Managing Director at Vana Foundation, stated that this collaboration combines Vana’s data layer, Bittensor’s subnet networks, and Zuvu’s economic layer. This will enhance Vana’s DataDAO ecosystem and address significant obstacles in AI development.
Zuvu supports the AI economic layer, enabling investment, staking, trading, and monetization of models, agents, and data, generating new prospects in a rapidly expanding market. The press release mentions that this partnership occurs at a time when the AI market is projected to reach trillions of dollars by 2032.

This partnership strategically integrates with Bittensor, utilizing its incentivized network to broaden AI development. By combining user-controlled data with permissionless computing and financial incentives, it mirrors how decentralized finance is disrupting conventional finance.
According to Abal and Zuvu AI’s COO, Daniel Raissar, this collaboration is anticipated to enhance Bittensor’s subnet diversity, support Vana’s DataDAO expansion, and establish Zuvu as a pioneer in AI financialization, potentially impacting industry standards.
