It is said that Donald Trump is ready to present a Bitcoin reserve plan at the next White House crypto meeting.
In an interview, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick verified that Bitcoin would be given special status under Trump’s plan. The summit, which is being hosted by venture investor David Sacks and Congressman Bo Hines, emphasizes Trump’s dedication to making the United States a leader in the field of digital finance.
The guest list includes industry titans such as Michael Saylor, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, and Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev, as well as government representatives from the Presidential Digital Asset Working Group. A larger gathering is planned for those who were not invited to the roundtable discussion.
This strategy is based on Executive Order 14178, which establishes a framework for promoting the crypto sector while recognizing Bitcoin as a strategic asset. Trump recently reaffirmed his support for digital assets, stating that a “US crypto reserve” would strengthen the sector following alleged attacks by the Biden administration.
In addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum, he stated that the reserve may include other prominent cryptocurrencies such as XRP, Solana, and Cardano. Lutnick noted that while Bitcoin is unique, other cryptocurrencies and tokens would be treated differently, but positively.
