Honeywell International (HON) publicized last month its intention to split into three separate firms. On Tuesday, they designated David Sewell as Chief Executive Officer of their Progressive Resources enterprise.
Sewell, formerly the Chief Executive Officer of WestRock Organization, a paper and packaging firm obtained by Smurfit Kappa, assumes his new placement without delay.
The Progressive Resources section is scheduled for separation by late 2025 or early 2026, evolving into Solstice Progressive Resources, with its headquarters in Morris Plains, New Jersey. Honeywell characterizes Solstice Progressive Resources as a “publicly traded, sustainability-centered specialty chemicals and resources firm.” The section produced almost $4 billion in income last year, according to Honeywell.
Furthermore, Honeywell has designated Rajeev Gautam as the non-executive chairman of the board, effective upon the separation of Solstice Progressive Resources. Gautam, who retired in 2021, formerly functioned as the Chief Executive Officer of Honeywell’s Performance Resources and Technologies enterprise.
