## Solanas Promo Video Fails, Crypto Group Protests
* Solana’s advertising push backfires, attracting criticism from throughout the crypto arena.

Solana’s latest advertising video, entitled “America’s Back – Onward,” was withdrawn just nine hours after its launch because of an enormous flood of unfavorable criticism.
Industry leaders and commentators alike criticized the video for its obvious political subjects, which seemed to make fun of gender identity and take swipes at the news sources.
Mateusz Kara, CEO of crypto payment business Ari10, informed DL News, “The advertisement comes across as incredibly immature and must be regarded as a marketing error.”
While the Solana Foundation hasn’t formally commented, some representatives have used X to handle the situation.
Matt Sorg, Solana Foundation’s Head of Technology, mentioned, “Very few individuals in the ecosystem had any actual connection with this,” adding, “Just because it was posted on the main channel doesn’t suggest the ecosystem is thrilled about the message.”
Dan Elbert, Executive Director of the Solana Foundation, chimed in, “Solana is for everyone. Through the ups, downs, and ridiculous days.”
This marketing error is just the latest in a series of difficulties for Solana.
Once celebrated as an “Ethereum killer,” Solana has been surpassed by XRP (related to Ripple) as the world’s third-largest cryptocurrency.
It’s also discovered itself involved in several scandals associated with memecoins released on the Solana blockchain.
## “Technology, Not Gender”
The video starts with a scene of a tired-looking man named America in a treatment session. Across from him sits a therapist with a smug smile, clipboard in hand, radiating an air of dominance.
A patient called “America” voiced his annoyance at his declining significance in worldwide technical progress.
Crypto influencer Adam Cochran, who has 10,300 YouTube followers, also slammed the commercial. Since the fall of Bankman-Fried’s crypto empire, Solana has enhanced the reliability of its network.

If Burks is accurate, the strategy appears to have failed.
Zach Burks, CEO of NFT platform Mintology, thinks the now-removed ad is a sign of a developing culture within the crypto realm, even though purists assert the technology should be unbiased.
“I want to create technology, not genders,” the video’s main character declares.
Kara remarked, “Blockchain advertisements should emphasize technical innovation, not cultural transformation.”
Judging by social media comments, the video was generally panned rather than appealing to crypto participants who may have held similar views.
Crypto stakeholders responding to the video conveyed astonishment and concern, finding it difficult to believe that a major blockchain project like Solana would support such contentious messaging.

Instead of expressing worry, the therapist encouraged “America” to concentrate on gender concerns.
The entire episode is yet another setback to Solana’s recovery from the depths of the 2022 FTX implosion. Imprisoned former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried was a key backer of Solana.
Burks informed DL News, “The crypto MAGA craze is genuine, so Solana was simply attempting to portray itself as an American crypto company to attract the Trump and MAGA fan base.”
Solanas expansion was partially propelled by its position as a focal point for the meme token craze, which earlier this year witnessed meme tokens achieve a market capitalization of $137 billion.
Advocates of Solana are currently vigorously pursuing novel commercial domains to stimulate augmentation. Since that period, the meme token marketplace has diminished drastically, and Solana’s network income has decreased.
Before the advertisement dispute, Anthony Georgiades, a general associate at the venture capital enterprise Innovating Capital, communicated to DL News, “Solana must concentrate on genuine practicality if it desires to sustain its impetus.”
Market observers emphasize that this blunder will not lessen Solana’s allure.
“I question whether this contentious advertisement will estrange financiers from Solana’s blockchain, but I do not believe there is a profounder significance to setting the LGBT society against the technological upheaval,” Kara remarked.
