Tesla (TSLA) is calling back more than 46,000 Cybertrucks after watchdogs cautioned that outside finish could come off the car, possibly making the chance of a crash higher.
The Department of Transportation said that the Cybertruck’s roof rail, which is a fancy piece above the windows on the electric car’s angled frame, may split from the body. The notice involves Cybertrucks made from November 2023 to February 27 of this year, which is almost all of them, since making started in late 2023.
Tesla has said that they will change the roof rail without charge, and letters telling owners are expected to be sent out by May 19.
This recall comes after other recalls earlier this year and late last year. Just last month, Tesla called back more than 376,000 Model 3 and Model Y cars in the U.S. because of a possible loss of power steering help, which could make the cars harder to steer.
Tesla’s stock has gone down for the ninth week in a row because of worries about sales slowing down and negative reaction over CEO Elon Musk’s part in the Trump government, going down almost 2% in trading on Thursday. Toncoin (TON) Value Forecast for March 26th
