Recently, some highly anticipated good news has emerged from Ethereum: its non-profit organization, the Foundation, has selected two new co-executive leaders.
In a blog post issued on Saturday, the Ethereum Foundation announced that researcher Xiaowei Wang and Nethermind creator Thomas Stachurski will officially act as co-executive leaders starting March 17.
Both of the newly selected leaders possess extensive practical experience.
As a senior member who has been employed at the Foundation for eight years, Xiaowei Wang actively promoted the “sharding” technology created to expand Ethereum and made important contributions to the network’s successful transition to a proof-of-stake mechanism in 2022.
Stachurski created Nethermind, a company specializing in the creation of client software for Ethereum operation, and is one of the leading companies in this area.

It remains to be observed what changes the Foundation will undergo after the new leadership team is established.
Many long-term supporters of Ethereum hope that the blockchain can function in a more commercialized model and pay more attention to the network’s token economics and value capture capabilities.
